Matthew Chen is a skilled quantitative trader currently employed at Five Rings since August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a clinical research intern at Inspire Medical Systems and as a research assistant at the University of Houston, where modeling statistical distributions for medical device heating was undertaken. Additionally, Matthew participated in a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at the University of Chicago, resulting in a published paper on Paley graphs. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Honors and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Chicago, completed in 2022, following a high school diploma from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in 2018.
