Darren S.

Darren S. has a diverse work experience. Darren began their career in 1999 as an Industrial Trainee at Ricardo UK. In 2004, they worked as a Historic Racing Car Preparation Mechanic at LEGENDS AUTOMOTIVE LIMITED. In 2006, they were a Development Engineer at Ricardo, followed by a role as Race Systems Development Engineer at Zytek Automotive Ltd in 2008. From 2011 to 2019, they worked as a Calibration & Control Engineer at Steldev Limited, where they were responsible for calibrating and validating engine management functions, and was a team lead for international environmental testing trips. In 2019, they began working at Five AI as a Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET), Test Engineer, Application Validation Engineer, and Field Application Engineer.

Darren S. completed an MEng in Automotive Engineering from the University of Bath between 2000 and 2004. Darren also attended Solihull School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Programming for Data Science with Python certificate from Udacity in September 2022, a Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in July 2022, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) certificate from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in July 2019, an Introduction to Self Driving Cars certificate from Udacity in June 2019, and an APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) certificate from the Association for Project Management in December 2018.
