Zassa Kavuma has worked in the software engineering field since 2013. From 2013-2014, they worked as a Creative Technologist Internship at Clearleft Ltd and a UX Design Internship at Rise To. In 2014, they worked as a Robotic Systems Test Engineer at Dyson and completed a 6-month Data Analyst secondment. From 2018-present, they have been a Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Self-driving Car Systems Test Engineer at Five AI. During their time at Five AI, they have supported the creation of production deployments of the Assurance platform for multiple customers, created a library of CD templates, and created Dockerised microservice integration tests. At Dyson, they designed and implemented test routines for the next-gen embedded Linux robotics platform, led the Robot Telemetrics project, and created a set of analysis tools in Matlab to process data from a global network of sensors. At Clearleft Ltd, they created a prototype smart speaker and at Rise To they created a revamped UX design for the website.
Zassa Kavuma obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Hons in Mechatronics and Robotic Systems from the University of Liverpool between 2008 and 2012. In 2015, they additionally obtained a certification in Stanford Machine Learning from Coursera.
