Eric Hess

Eric Hess is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Director of Information Security at Five9 since May 2021, where the development of a comprehensive enterprise security program has been a primary focus. Previously, Eric held the position of Information Security Manager at Couchbase, enhancing security and risk programs across the organization. Eric’s experience includes a role as Senior Information Security Engineer at Plantronics, where responsibility encompassed various security initiatives, and as an Information Security Engineer at DNAnexus, where efforts were directed towards improving vulnerability management and achieving FedRAMP moderate authorization. Eric's background also includes significant contributions to Hewlett Packard Enterprise in technical program management within the Cyber Security PMO, along with roles at Santa Cruz County Office of Education and COMP-Connection, Inc. Eric holds a BA from UC Irvine and a Master of Applied Science in IT Management from the University of Denver.
