Michael Petrie has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Michael started at Aetna / Magellan Behavioral Health as an Account Executive, where they installed and managed employee assistance and behavioral healthcare insurance programs. Michael provided staff training and development and served as an internal customer advocate for outlier cases. Michael then worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bloomfield College before joining The Echo Group as a Systems Analyst. In this role, they provided software training, implemented behavioral health practice management and electronic health record solutions, and conducted readiness assessments and process impact studies. Michael later joined Netsmart Technologies as a Vice President-Client Solutions, where they managed a core team responsible for developing web-based EMRs for the behavioral health industry. Finally, they founded their own company, Fivebase, where they served as CEO, overseeing business development, sales, and account management.
Michael Petrie earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Stockton University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Michael further pursued their education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, completing a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from 1993 to 1995.
