Sig Johnson

Sig Johnson's work experience includes a position as an Electrical/Controls Engineer at Fives Lund LLC starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX from June 2021 to January 2022. From August 2019 to June 2021, Sig served as the President and Electrical Engineer at Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington, where they led a team of 55 in designing and building eight robots for a competition and managed long-term schedules and goals. Before that, they were the Mechanical Engineering Lead at Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington from September 2017 to August 2019, overseeing the mechanical design and manufacturing of six robots and making hiring and budget decisions. In 2020, Sig worked as an Electrical Engineer at the World Ventilator Foundation, designing and testing a main PC board for a ventilator that received FDA approval. Sig also worked at Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Sales Associate in 2017 and interned at John Fraser SP in 2016, where they restored a milling machine and provided proof of concept for a metallurgy research project.

Sig Johnson attended the University of Washington from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics. During their time at the university, they also pursued a Minor in Mathematics.
