Anton Els is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software engineering and cloud architecture. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Fivetran since November 2021, Anton has held various leadership roles, including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer. Prior to Fivetran, Anton was a Senior Cloud Architect at HVR, a Fivetran Company, and has also served as CTO and VP of Engineering at Dbvisit Software Limited. With a strong background in consultancy and database administration, Anton held positions such as Lead Consultant at Theta Systems and Oracle Database Administrator at Swiss Re. Anton began a career in technology as an Oracle Consultant at Arthur Andersen after earning a degree from the University of Johannesburg from 1996 to 2000.
