Haydar Mecit

Haydar Mecit currently serves as a professor at Hochschule Bochum, focusing on Urban Energy and Mobility Systems, and is involved in research related to sustainable smart city solutions, smart mobility, and renewable energies. Since March 2019, Haydar has also acted as a contact professor and mentor for scholarship holders at Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and is a member of the FIWARE Mission Support Committee for smart energy. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Expert for R&D in e-mobility at innogy SE, Senior Engineer in R&D at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe, and a PhD researcher at University Duisburg Essen. Haydar completed a PhD in Strategic Decision Making regarding Technology Trends from University of Duisburg-Essen and holds a diploma in Media Informatics from Westfälische Hochschule.
