Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson has worked in various technical roles since 2017. Andrew started as an Energy Advisor at Tesla and later became a PV Design Engineer II. From 2019 to 2020, Andrew worked at New Southern Energy as an Asset and Operations Manager. Here, they managed operations and maintenance of solar projects by introducing a Python-based data gathering process and designing a custom ticketing system. Andrew then worked at Flickswitch as a Full-Stack Software Engineer until 2023, implementing Python/FastAPI integration and redeveloping SIMControl using Elixir/Phoenix and LiveView. Currently, Andrew is working at FIXR as a Senior Software Engineer.

Andrew Jackson pursued their education from various institutions throughout their life. Andrew attended St. Peter's College High School from 2005-2009; then they studied at the University of Witwatersrand, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2013. In 2015-2016, they attended the New York Film Academy and earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Acting. Andrew then completed a Master of Business Administration degree from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2018. Andrew also holds multiple certifications, including courses completed in Python, Django, Elixir, Google Cloud Infrastructure, and Vue, all between 2021-2022.
