Chip Long has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Chip started their career in 2001 as a Billing Manager at MEDICENTER Diabetic Supply, where they worked until 2005. In 2006, Chip joined iBeta as a Quality Assurance Specialist, where they were responsible for various testing tasks, including writing and executing test plans, supervising a team of testers, and analyzing software applications. Chip worked at iBeta until 2011, during which time they also served as a Test Manager. In 2011, Chip joined iBeta Quality Assurance as a QA Consultant. In 2013, they transitioned to TriZetto Corporation, where they worked as a QA Consultant. Later that year, in 2013, Chip joined Finastra as a Software QA Engineer and eventually became the Functional Quality Assurance Manager - Digital until 2021. Most recently, in 2022, Chip joined FJA-US, Inc. as a Junior Software Engineer.

Chip Long attended the University of Denver in 2021, where they obtained a certificate in Full Stack Web Development. Chip also attended Regis University from 2004 to 2007, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
