Fjordbyte is a University of Bergen-born educational technology company transforming assessment and feedback with AI. Sparked by professor Olav Tenstad’s real-world grading bottlenecks and co-founded with technologist Christian Bru, we built a platform that analyzes short-answer responses and delivers consistent, learning-oriented feedback and decision support—freeing educators to focus on teaching. With successful pilots and institutional funding, we’re integrating seamlessly with universities’ existing tools to scale high-quality feedback across courses and faculties.

Our team spans research, technology, sales, and finance, and we partner with institutions that seek faster, fairer assessment without compromising academic standards.
