David Key is a banking and technology executive who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Flagship Bank Florida. From 2009 to 2024, Key served as Regional President Pinellas & West Pasco at SouthState Bank, and earlier held roles including Vice President at Barnett Bank (1996–1998). Key led 1 Nation Technology Corporation as President from 1998 to 2006, which was sold to Network Liquidators n/k/a Vology Data Systems in November 2006, and subsequently held the EVP role at Vology from 2006 to 2008. Key earned a BA in Finance & Business Administration with an Economics Minor from the University of South Florida (1982–1986) and an MBA in Management from USF (1988–1991).
