Garry Leacock

Garry Leacock PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Garry is currently the Head of Business IT at Flagstone since 2020. Previously, they worked at Wolters Kluwer UK as the Head of Cloud Operations from 2017 to 2020, where they managed and delivered cloud services and infrastructure to professionals in the tax and accounting sector. Prior to that, they were a Principal Consultant at Xoomworks Ltd from 2013 to 2017, where they managed portfolio engagement and delivery across different verticals. Garry also has experience as a Software Technical Lead at CGI from 2008 to 2011 and as a Senior Engineering and Defence Consultant at SELEX S&AS from 2002 to 2008. Garry started their career as a Research Fellow at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2000 to 2002, where they worked on aircraft simulation and analysis. Garry also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their PhD for their research in the field of helicopter inverse simulation.

Garry Leacock, PhD, received their Bachelor of Engineering degree (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from Kingston University in 1995. Garry then went on to complete their PhD at the University of Glasgow from 1996 to 2000, specializing in Helicopter Inverse Simulation for Workload and Handling Qualities Estimation. Garry has also obtained several additional certifications, including CompTIA Security+, Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM 1), Prince 2 - Practitioner, and Prince 2 - Foundation.
