Eric V. has extensive experience in materials engineering and precision manufacturing, with a focus on semiconductor processes and optical systems. They served as a Principal Research Engineer at Avago Technologies from 2001 to 2008, where they worked on optics design and testing for transceivers and LEDs. Following this, they held managerial roles at imec from 2008 to 2021, overseeing various teams and improving workflows for thin film deposition and materials analysis. Currently, Eric manages the Precision Engineering Cluster at Flanders Make, continuing their work in innovative engineering practices. They also completed their PhD at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, graduating Maxima Cum Laude in 1992.
