Mathias Verbeke is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Board Member at BNVKI - BAIAI since March 2024. As an Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence for Industry at KU Leuven since September 2021 and an Affiliated Member of Leuven.AI, Mathias contributes to interdisciplinary research with societal relevance. Additionally, Mathias is a Core Lab Member of DTAI-FET at Flanders Make, which is affiliated with KU Leuven. Prior to these roles, Mathias held positions as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at Sirris from September 2014 to September 2021 and served as President of the Board/Advisory Commission for Red Cross Youth from January 2016 to January 2017.
