Ron Worth

Ron Worth has over 35 years of experience in the engineering field. Ron began their career in 1984 at IBM as a CIM Specialist and was later promoted to Sr. Associate Engineer, where they became one of the lead engineers on the Proprinter II design team. In 1991, they joined IDEO as an Engineer. In 1993, they co-founded Worth-Pfaff Innovations as President and Co-Founder. In 1996, they co-founded FlashCut CNC as Principal and Co-Founder. In 2011, they became Vice President and member of the Board of Education of Deerfield Public School District 109 in Illinois. In 2017, they joined Northwestern University as an Adjunct Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering, and developed and implemented new curriculum with ME faculty at McCormick School of Engineering for a hands-on robotics class.

Ron Worth attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a BSME in Mechanical Engineering. Ron then attended Northwestern University from 1988 to 1990, where they earned an MME in Masters in Manufacturing Engineering. Lastly, they attended Stanford University from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Rapid Prototyping.
