Shashi Murthy is a distinguished professional in the field of chemical engineering and biotechnology, serving as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Nanite since 2022, where the focus is on developing non-viral delivery vehicles for gene therapies through machine learning. Prior to this, Murthy founded Flaskworks, which was acquired by Northwest Biotherapeutics in 2020, and co-founded Quad Technologies, later acquired by Bio-Techne, contributing significantly to dendritic cell and T cell manufacturing as well as patenting rapid gel technologies. Murthy has an extensive academic background as a professor at Northeastern University from 2005 to 2019, overseeing a highly regarded research program and holding prominent roles such as Founding Director of the Michael J. and Ann Sherman Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship Education.
