Bureau Chief, Adult & Career Education at The Florida Department of Education

Ashley Yopp, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. Ashley currently serves as the Bureau Chief of Adult & Career Education at The Florida Department of Education. Prior to this, they were an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Education at The University of Georgia from 2017 to 2021. Ashley also worked as a Graduate Teaching & Research Associate at Texas A&M University from 2013 to 2017. Earlier in their career, they held positions in Beaufort County Schools as a Career & Technical Education teacher and at the University of North Carolina Association of Student Governments as the Senior Vice President. Ashley also served in leadership roles at East Carolina University and the North Carolina FFA Association.

Ashley Yopp, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science & Sociology from East Carolina University from 2004 to 2009. Ashley then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Agricultural Education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, which they received from 2010 to 2012. Finally, at Texas A&M University, Ashley completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Agricultural Education from 2013 to 2016.
