Cari Miller

Chancellor For Early Learning at The Florida Department of Education

Cari Miller has extensive experience in education and literacy initiatives, currently serving as Chancellor for Early Learning and previously as Vice Chancellor for Literacy Achievement at The Florida Department of Education since October 2020. Prior roles include Early Literacy Program Manager at the Office of Early Learning, where responsibilities focused on early literacy. At the Foundation for Excellence in Education from 2011 to 2019, Cari served as Policy Director, concentrating on K-3 literacy and Common Core State Standards. Earlier, multiple leadership positions were held at the Florida Department of Education's Just Read, Florida initiative, aimed at improving student reading outcomes. Cari's career began as a Teacher and Reading Coach at Leon County Schools from 1998 to 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida.
