Tiffany Hurst has an extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Tiffany started their career in 2010 as a Management Review Specialist at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. In 2012, they worked as a Project Manager at Quest Engineering Accident Reconstruction. Tiffany then joined the Florida Department of Education in 2013 as a Management Review Specialist. In 2016, they moved to the Florida Department of Transportation as a Senior Management Analyst II for a few months before returning to the Florida Department of Education as Director of Auditing. Tiffany later became the Deputy Inspector General, and in 2021, they joined the Florida Public Service Commission as the Inspector General. Currently, they serve as the Executive Director of the Commission for Independent Education at The Florida Department of Education.
Tiffany Hurst completed their Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Florida State University, from the years 2005 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications over the years. In 2018, they became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). In 2021, they achieved the Florida Certified Contract Manager certification from the Florida Department of Management Services. Further expanding their credentials, in 2022, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA and the Certified Inspector General (CIG) certification from the Association of Inspectors General.
