Tim Hay

Tim Hay has extensive work experience primarily in government and legislative services. From 2020 to present, they have served as the Executive Director of the Office of Safe Schools at The Florida Department of Education. Prior to that, they held various roles at The Florida Senate, including Sergeant at Arms from 2014 to 2020 and Assistant Sergeant at Arms from 2012 to 2014. In these positions, Tim was responsible for security, management, and maintenance of the Senate Chamber, Senate Office Building, and property. Tim also coordinated with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of Senators, Senate staff, and the public during committee and legislative sessions. Additionally, Tim has been involved with the National Legislative Services and Security Association (NLSSA), serving as Vice President from 2018 to 2020 and holding leadership roles in Region IV from 2014 to 2018.

Tim Hay completed the Basic Recruit Class at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy in 2009, earning a Certificate of Completion in Law Enforcement. The duration of their enrollment at this academy is not specified. Additionally, Tim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from Florida State University, although the start and end years of their pursuit of this degree are unknown.
