Christopher Ellwood

Christopher Ellwood has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Christopher is currently the Director of Mobile Engineering at Fleetio since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Mindbody for several years, holding different positions such as Senior Software Engineering Manager - Mobile Development and Software Engineering Manager - Android. At Mindbody, they provided leadership and vision for mobile software engineering teams, managed a group of 30 software developers, architects, and quality assurance team members, and mentored software engineers within the Android mobile discipline. Before Mindbody, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SRI International, where they developed high-quality software and managed software architecture and integration for research and commercialization programs. Christopher also has experience as a Network Engineer at San Luis Obispo Superior Court, a Network/Software Consultant for various clients, a Security Engineer at Infogard Laboratories, a Software Developer at Scient, and as a Founder/President of Silicon Networking. In these positions, they performed various tasks related to network security, software development, infrastructure architecture, and consulting.

Christopher Ellwood has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications including Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models from LinkedIn in January 2023, Advanced / Instrument Ground Instructor from the Federal Aviation Administration in August 2021, Remote Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in November 2020, Private Aircraft Pilot (Instrument Rated) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in October 2020, and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in August 2018.
