Travis Smith

Travis Smith has been working in the transportation industry since 1994. Travis began their career at Smith Transport, Inc., where they served as Senior VP of Operations. In this role, they managed over 90 office staff and over 1100 drivers with nearly $200 million in annual revenue. Travis oversaw growth of approximately 20% per year while maintaining profitability and high service standards of 98%+ on-time. Travis also managed operations, revenue accounting, brokerage, customer service, and many other facets of the business.

In 2008, Travis Smith joined Greatwide Truckload Management (GWTM) as Director of Operations. In this role, they oversaw operations for a $320+ Million Truckload Non-asset Owner Operator agent based model with over 2000 trucks. Travis effectively reduced headcount by 20% and relocated the entire operations center from WI to PA without any interruptions while maintaining high service levels.

In 2009, Travis Smith joined Salson as Executive Vice President.

In 2011, Travis Smith joined Fleetmaster Express as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they oversaw the operation, sales and maintenance departments of a 450+ employees, 325+ drivers, 300+ power units and 1300+ trailers company. The operation included over 500,000 square feet of warehousing, several dozen spotting truck operations, a brokerage/logistics operation, dedicated services in several different business units and 13 terminals located in the eastern part of the US. Travis also held the role of Vice President of Operations and Director of OTR Operations at Fleetmaster Express. In these roles, they oversaw the operations of 450+ employees, 325+ drivers, 300+ power units and 1200+ trailers. Quality equipment, quality service and best in class customer service were key factors that made Fleetmaster Express one of the best carriers in the United States.

Travis Smith attended Penn State University from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a 2BA in Business Administration.
