Andreas Hedwig is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical power transmission and auxiliary systems engineering. At Siemens Energy from April 2020 to June 2022, Andreas led the global competency center for turbo gear and drive couplings, focusing on optimizing value chains through standardization and digitalization. Prior to that, at Siemens from February 2016 to March 2020, Andreas oversaw engineering and quality assurance for fluid systems, heat exchangers, gears, and electric drive systems, while also expanding supplier networks and implementing agile methods. Andreas has a strong background in manufacturing technology, having directed investment projects in mechanical manufacturing for turbo compressors and led various lean management initiatives. Currently, Andreas serves as the Head of Global Commodity Engineering for Drive Technologies and Hydraulics at Flender. Andreas holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universität Duisburg-Essen.
