Edwin Hidding

Edwin Hidding is an experienced professional with over 15 years in the wind industry, specializing in the development of gearboxes and drivetrain components for both onshore and offshore wind turbines. They have led global teams across various regions, including China, India, Europe, and the US, while holding positions such as Technical Leader at GE Power & Water and Manager Gearboxes at GE Renewable Energy. Currently, they serve as the Head of Technical Services, overseeing product management and engineering activities to enhance performance and reliability in wind turbine assets. Edwin holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Science Krefeld and has furthered their education at ESMT Berlin and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
