Marcelo Merello MD

Marcelo Merello, MD, PhD, is a neurologist and researcher based in Argentina, born in 1961. They graduated from medical school and have held various prominent positions, currently serving as the Director of the Neuroscience Department and Chief of the Movement Disorders Service at Fleni since 1992. Marcelo is also a principal investigator at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council and a Professor of Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. Additionally, they direct the Specialist Medical Career in Neurology at the University of Buenos Aires and are a founding editor for the journal Movement Disorders Clinical Practice. Their extensive education includes a PhD in Neurology from the University of Buenos Aires and fellowships in general neurology.
