Founded in 2016 in Nordvest, Fovl began as a local café where people could meet from morning to evening. What started with coffee, beer, occasional events and home baking soon grew into a passionate craft for bread, pastries, and hospitality. 

When the pandemic hit, our focus turned fully to baking - and the demand for our sourdough and pastries sparked new beginnings.

In 2022, we opened Flere Fugle in Demokrati Garage: a larger space combining bakery, café, concerts, DJ nights, and pop-up dinners. Later that year came FLOK at Biblioteket på Rentemestervej - our production kitchen and catering hub, also serving as a library café and venue for communal dinners and workshops. In 2023, Lille Fugl opened at Kunstforeningen Gammel Strand, offering baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and catering for cultural events.

Our mission is simple: to create lively, welcoming places and experiences rooted in quality, craft, and care. We believe great hospitality goes beyond service - it’s about presence, warmth, and genuine connection.

Every loaf, cup, and plate reflects our values: curiosity, openness, and attention to detail. We keep learning, share responsibility, and work with purpose - building places full of life, flavor, and community.
