Michael McClain

Michael McClain, Ph.D., is a Patent Agent at Fletcher Yoder since May 2017, with a strong background in chemistry and materials science. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at Rice University from August 2011 to May 2017, where Michael focused on the size-controlled synthesis of aluminum nanoparticles and collaborated on projects involving their applications in photocatalysis and chemical sensing. Additionally, Michael served as an Undergraduate Researcher at Emory University from 2009 to 2011. Michael holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Houston Law Center, expected completion in May 2026, and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry, along with a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Rice University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Highest Honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Emory University.
