Alex Pearson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alex started their career as the Public Relations Officer for the Lion's Pause Night Club. Alex then went on to co-found Shackle Island CrossFit and Weightlifting, where they served as the CEO and Head Coach. Alex also worked as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Outreach at Claim Academy, a bootcamp-style series of courses in application development. Alex later joined Five-Star Technology Solutions as a Front-End Developer and eventually became the Front-End Team Lead and Senior Developer. Alex then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Bauer Xcel Media, where they maintained existing print publications and developed new ways to monetize written content for the web. Alex also served as a Lead Instructor for Savvy Coders, developing and presenting curriculum for introductory web development courses. Alex was a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Volley, leading a team of software developers building a web application. Alex co-founded Platter, a branching Postgres database platform, where they worked as the CTO and co-founder. Currently, Alex is working as a Lead Software Engineer at Flex. In addition to their professional work, they have also worked as a Freelance Web Developer and Technology Education Consultant, providing customized solutions for websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Alex Pearson attended St. Olaf College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics. They also obtained additional certifications, including a Catalyst Athletics CF-L1 Weightlifting Coach certification from Catalyst Athletics in 2013, a USAW Sports Performance Coach L1 certification from USA Weightlifting in 2012, and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer's Certificate from CrossFit, Inc. in 2011.
