Hoke Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the field of hardware systems engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Lead Hardware Systems Engineer for Flex Logix Technologies, Inc., where they are responsible for HW System Specification and Design of Hawk InferX AI System, Highspeed Interface Debugging and Analysis (PCIe, LPDDR4), and HW System Design of InferX X1M M. Prior to this, they worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2016-2021 as a Lead Hardware Design Engineer, where they were responsible for HW Design and Development of HPE Alletra High Availability NVMe SSD Storage, Hardware Design of High Availability Center Planes for NVMe Storage, and HW System Diagnostics utilizing Python. In these roles, they were responsible for tasks such as architecting and leading the design of the 40G Norcal Modular System based on Cisco's internal ASICs and Merchant Silicon, driving the product definition of next generation ASICs with engineering and marketing, performing Single Event Upset (SEU) susceptibility analysis of switching ASICs and FPGAs, driving the in-depth analysis and evaluation of the switching requirements of silicon options, architecting the Data Plane and Control Plane of Jawbreaker, driving the CX System Control Plane and CPU Subsystem Architecture, inventing the architecture for a family of oversubscribed linecards for the Catalyst 6500 modular switching platform, ASIC system design of Mistral ASIC, and IO and memory design for Mistral ASIC.

Hoke Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
