Michael Liang

Information Technology Lead at Flex Logix

Michael Liang has worked in the IT industry since 1995. Michael began their career at Bank of America as an Advisory System Engineer, where they set up Windows NT Servers, tuned MS SQL Server, designed the schema of the database used for MADS, and implemented Paradox MADS. Michael then moved to 3Com as a Project Lead, DBA, and NT Administrator, where they set up Sun Enterprise 10000 Solaris servers with high availability and EMC storage, and installed and tuned MSSQL server for the 3Com passport system and shop. 3com. After 3Com, they worked at Everypath as Manager of Operations, where they managed ASP hosting for the company and established presence at three data centers. Michael then moved to iPIN Inc. as a Sr. Network and System Engineer, where they managed secure network and Solaris servers at both office and colocation facility for processing of Interactive Payment Transactions. Michael then moved to Rambus as a Network Lead and Sr. Network Engineer, where they managed network infrastructure and optimized the environment with redundancy and security, and worked with third party on penetration testing and security auditing. Finally, they are currently working at Flex Logix Technologies, Inc. as Information Technology Lead, where they support all aspects of IT related work for the whole company, including building and moving server room and office, managing Redhat servers, and managing Zoom AV system and TSMC certification and security auditing.

Michael Liang received a BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. Michael then went on to pursue two MS degrees from Penn State University in Electrical Engineering and Physics.
