David Cannode

David Cannode has over 20 years of work experience in IT operations and management. David is currently the Director of IT Operations at Flex Technology Group, where they lead a dispersed team and oversees technical operations including support, infrastructure, security, mergers and acquisitions, and vendor sourcing.

Prior to their current role, David worked at HomeAdvisor as the Sr. Director of IT Operations, overseeing cross-functional teams and managing an annual budget of $10M. David also served as the Director of Technical Operations, leading diverse teams focused on enterprise operations, and as the IT Helpdesk Manager, creating and driving operational excellence in IT support.

Before HomeAdvisor, David worked at ProBuild Holdings as the IT Service Desk & ServiceNow Supervisor, managing the ProBuild Service Desk and executing workforce management functions. David also worked at Dish Network as a Help Desk Supervisor, supporting a large number of employees and sales partners and organizing training sessions for IT Service Desk staff.

David's early work experience includes roles such as Operations Manager at VS Gaming Center, where they administered and expanded gaming centers, and Assistant Manager at Game Stop, where they were responsible for sales, promotions, and inventory management.

David began their career as a Technical Specialist at ParTek, Inc, where they gained foundational technical expertise.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated leadership, project management, and operational excellence, driving improvements in IT support and operations.

David Cannode completed their Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Business Analysis from Colorado State University Global, with a focus on Computer Science, from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science at Colorado State University from 1998 to 2001, though the degree obtained is unspecified. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained various certifications. David obtained the Project Management (PM1001) certification from Sophia Learning in March 2022. David also earned the SAS-CSU Global Academic Specialization in Statistics and Data Mining for Business Intelligence from SAS in March 2022. Prior to their recent certifications, David acquired several skills through various LinkedIn courses, including Influencing Others, Improving Your Listening Skills, Managing Up, Down, and Across the Organization, Microsoft Teams Essential Training, and Learning Slack. These LinkedIn certifications were obtained between 2019 and 2020.
