Ryan Records is the current Vice President of Partnerships at Flexa. Ryan has held this position for 4 years and 3 months. Prior to their current role, Ryan spent 18 years with Starbucks in a variety of roles including Vice President Global Starbucks Card and Payment Strategy, Director Global Strategy, Manager Global Strategy - Store Development, and Manager Finance. During their time at Starbucks, Ryan was responsible for the overall digital commerce, Starbucks payment strategy, fraud operations, and one of the largest closed loop networks in the country. Ryan played a strategic leadership role in developing the digital ventures and led a team of 60 responsible for mobile payment, digital gifting, gift cards, eCommerce, and reloads. Under Ryan's leadership, the Starbucks Card program grew from ~$2B annually to ~$7B from 2013 to 2017. Ryan also introduced social gifting through iMessage, Facebook and other text platforms and holds the Guinness World Record for “largest daily deal.” In addition, they built an internal fraud and digital operations team from the ground up and slashed fraud rates to record lows. Ryan also significantly enhanced consumer security through multi factor authentication, bio-metrics and advanced modeling. Furthermore, they headed up all eCommerce channels for Starbucks and Teavana, growing them at double digits Year Over Year. Ryan also significantly reduced the company’s cost of payment through the development and negotiation of complex multiyear Co-Branded Credit, Prepaid Debit and payment acceptance deals. Lastly, they taught a strategic problem solving course to over 400 business leaders internally and coached and led one of the highest performing, lowest turnover departments at Starbucks.

Ryan Records has a bachelor's degree in finance from Washington State University and an MBA in finance and technology from the same school.
