Farshid Arman

Farshid Arman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as President of FlexEnergi since January 2025, focusing on improving virtual power plants (VPPs). Prior to this role, Arman was Vice President of VPP Operations at Uplight during 2024, overseeing the merger with AutoGrid and managing multiple VPPs across utilities in the US and Canada. At AutoGrid from 2019 to 2024, Arman held dual roles as Vice President of VPP Sales and Operations and Sr. Director of Sales and Partnerships, where duties included capacity delivery and managing partnerships in demand response markets. Previous experience includes the role of Chief Operating Officer at ThorDrive, where Arman focused on funding and business strategy for an autonomous driving startup, and Sr. Director of Energy Technologies at Siemens, leading strategic projects across major energy divisions globally. Arman's educational background includes a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, along with an Executive Education program from UC Berkeley and a BS in Bioengineering from the University of New Mexico.
