Candie Powell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Candie started their career at Apria Healthcare as a Supervisor of Revenue Management, where they focused on collections and denial management. Candie achieved a 45% reduction in Medicare and Medicaid DSOs and built strong relationships with internal departments to improve accuracy and reduce bad debt.

Candie then moved on to American Medical Response, where they held two managerial roles. As the Manager of Reimbursement Services, they oversaw reimbursement for non-emergency transportation services, managed a department budget, and built a team of supervisors and supporting positions. In their subsequent role as Manager of TPA Services, they managed claims processing and contract intent for a complex national ambulance contract, achieving monthly cash goals exceeding $19.5 million.

At Kaiser Permanente, Candie served as a Claims Manager for Provider Services, focusing on managing and improving member and provider services related to claims processing. Building relationships with internal stakeholders and network providers was crucial to their success.

Candie then took on the role of Director of Community Engagement and Board Treasurer at Crossroads Theater, where they worked to ensure cost-effective programs were promoted and attended. Candie served as a liaison with community partners, local talent, and local entrepreneurs.

Candie's most recent role was as a Customer Implementation Business Analyst at Flexential, where they had end-to-end business ownership of sales submission, service delivery, and billing. Candie worked alongside key departments to improve the provisioning and delivery of client solutions.
