Nicholas Sharkey began their work experience in 2018 at Flexential as a Data Center Operations Intern. Nicholas later transitioned to the role of Technical Assistance Associate I, where they utilized their technical knowledge and communication skills to help establish and maintain reliable customer environments. In this role, they were responsible for troubleshooting, managing cross-connects, configuring customer cages and cabinets, monitoring critical infrastructure components, and performing security duties. Nicholas worked overnight shifts alone, handling all customer inquiries during that period.
In 2020, Nicholas joined WiLine Networks as a Field Service Technician for a brief period before returning to Flexential. Since their return, they have held various positions at Flexential, including Technical Assistance Associate II, Technical Assistance Associate III, Supervisor, Technical Operations, and their current role as a Critical Infrastructure Engineer II.
Nicholas Sharkey completed their high school education at State College Area High School from 2007 to 2012, earning a High School Diploma. After a brief break, in 2016, they enrolled at Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology, where they are currently pursuing a degree in Information Sciences and Technology with a focus on Design & Development.
