Peter Samland

Peter Samland has extensive work experience in the field of IT and web development. Peter began their career as a Web Developer at the Center for Neighborhood Technology in 2002. Peter then worked as a Web Developer at McPherson College in 2003. From 2005 to 2006, they served as a Web Developer at Davis Technologies Group, where they worked on multiple applications and deployed modified websites for clients. In 2006, Peter joined 90octane as a Sr. Systems Engineer and later grew the development team to four members. Peter converted a legacy web platform to a virtualized Ruby on Rails platform for a B2B competitor. In 2010, they became a Web Performance Consultant at Keynote Systems, where they provided expertise in website performance. From 2014 to 2020, Peter worked at Bio-Techne as a Senior Manager of Product Systems and Development Operations. Peter managed a team of IT professionals and was responsible for data engineering, systems development, system integration, and DevOps. More recently, in 2020, they joined Flexential as the Senior Director of DevOps.

Peter Samland earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, and Religion from McPherson College, attending from 1999 to 2003. Peter then pursued further education at Kansas State University from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
