Stephen Carter

Stephen Carter has extensive work experience in the field of automation, security, and system engineering. Stephen is currently working as an Automation Engineer at Flexential since July 2021. Prior to this, they spent four years and eight months at US Signal, where they held the role of Security & Automation Engineer/System Engineer. In this position, they were responsible for ensuring the rapid provisioning of SEIM and antivirus solutions across multiple datacenter sites, creating Ansible playbooks for software deployment, and driving compliance to industry standards through the use of Ansible. Before US Signal, Stephen worked at Gun Lake Tribe as a Network Systems Administrator for five years. In this role, they successfully migrated the datacenter to a new government complex, deployed VMware vSphere Horizon virtual desktop systems, and designed and executed a new primary datacenter for the government complex.

Stephen Carter's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University, where they studied Operations Management, Project Management, Financial Management, and Accounting. Stephen also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Grand Rapids Community College, specializing in the same fields of study. In addition to their formal education, Stephen has obtained a certification in JNCIA-JUNOS from Juniper Networks in November 2013.
