Dan Barr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Dan began their career in 2008 as a Technical Support Representative at Flexera Software, providing activation support for InstallShield users. In 2009, they joined The Minacs Group as a Tier 1 Apple Adviser, where they provided first-tier technical phone support to Apple computer customers and began training to become a certified trainer. Dan then returned to Flexera in 2011 and held various positions, including Technical Support Engineer, Principal I Technical Support Engineer, and Team Lead Technical Support. During their time at Flexera, Dan managed a team of Technical Support Engineers, focused on specific accounts to ensure customer success, and effectively handled a variable incoming case volume while meeting SLAs. In 2007, before starting their career, Dan worked as a Housekeeper at Big White Ski Resort Ltd during their gap year after university, where they learned to snowboard and ensured guests had a pleasant stay.

Dan Barr earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Staffordshire University between 2003 and 2007. Dan also obtained additional certifications including the FlexNet Manager Suite License Implementation Course from Flexera Software in 2017, the FlexNet Manager Suite License Operations Course from Flexera Software in 2016, and the Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Course from Microsoft in 2015.
