Owen Edgerton

System Engineering Manager at FlexGen

Owen Edgerton has a diverse work experience in the field of power system controls engineering and software engineering. Owen worked at Sustainable Power Systems from 2010 to 2021, where they were involved in software engineering, power system integration, and project management. Owen made significant contributions as a member of the software leadership team in improving the functionality of the company's flagship product. From 2017 to 2022, Owen worked at Howl & Edgerton, LLC as a power system controls engineer, specializing in distributed energy resource integration and control, particularly in the automation of microgrid power systems. Currently, they are employed at FlexGen as a lead systems engineer, where they started in 2022 and was promoted to system engineering manager in February 2023.

Owen Edgerton obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they also possess several certifications including CLAD from National Instruments (obtained in January 2013), EIT from NCEES (obtained in June 2009), and CLD from National Instruments (obtained in January 2013).
