Juan Manuel Sobral

Juan Manuel Sobral has had a varied and successful career in the technology industry. In 2019, they became Co-Founder and CTO of Flexio, a financial technology company that focuses on improving the lives of consumers by delivering simple, honest and transparent financial products. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Professor at Universidad ORT Uruguay, teaching Data Structures and Algorithms, Developments of User Interfaces, and Formal Logic. In 2014, they also became Co-Founder and CTO of SpaceDev UY, a young software factory created with Juan Sendra.

Juan Manuel Sobral has a long educational history. Juan Manuel earned a Systems Engineer degree from Universidad ORT Uruguay between 2009 and 2013. Juan Manuel then went on to complete a Diploma in Big Data Analytics from the same university in 2017-2018. Most recently, they earned a Master of Engineering (by Research) from Universidad ORT Uruguay in 2020, with a field of study in Multivocal Literature Review of Software Architectures for Blockchain Networks.
