Gulfstream 650 Captain at Flexjet

Simon Dugal is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in military and civilian aviation. Currently serving as a Gulfstream 650 Captain at Flexjet since January 2020, Simon operates within a leading business jet fractional ownership company. Prior to this role, Simon contributed to the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office as a Legacy 450 Pilot and Fighter Pilot from 2018 to January 2020, advocating for Canadian interests in the F-35 Lightning II program. Simon's military career with the Department of National Defence spanned from 1999 to July 2019, during which extensive responsibilities included serving as the Current Plans and Operations Officer, managing over 5,600 annual flying hours, and flying as a Pilot in Command on high-performance military aircraft. Notable achievements include reconstruction of the 433 Tactical Fighter Squadron and oversight of NATO air policing missions. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Military Operational Art and Science from the Royal Military College of Canada, along with completion of the Air Operation Course at the Canadian Forces Aerospace Warfare Centre.
