Praveen Kumar

Praveen Kumar is an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in vessel management and technical supervision. Currently serving as a Vessel Manager at FLEX LNG since August 2022, Praveen manages advanced LNG technologies including MEGI+FRS and Mark III XDF. Prior to this role, Praveen held the position of Manager MHR at NYK Shipmanagement PTE LTD from September 2020 to May 2022, and previously worked as a Vessel Manager from January 2010 to October 2020, overseeing various merchant vessels including LNG, LPG, VLCC, and chemical tankers. Praveen's career includes serving as Chief Engineer on a VLGC at NYK Shipmanagement PTE LTD from 2009 to 2010 and as a Cargo Engineer on Shell's LNG carrier from 2007 to 2009. The foundational years in the industry were spent at Wilhelmsen Shipmanagement from 1997 to 2007. Praveen holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Liverpool, obtained between 2016 and 2018.
