Established in 1955 as Modern Packaging, FMC’s first product was printed cello film for biscuit packaging. From there, FMC began serving the home care market with a poly-coated paper pouch for detergent powder. It has since broadened its product and service coverage to include food, personal care, and practically all major flexible packaging applications. It is the largest local supplier of strip foil flexible packaging to the Philippine pharmaceutical industry.
FMC maintains two printing and converting plants and one specialty blown-film plant in the Philippines. Local affiliate companies enable FMC to offer vertically integrated solutions – from pre-press services on one end, to strategic toll packaging services on the other. FMC also has allied printing and converting companies in China.
In the Philippines, FMC supplies major local and multinational companies with a comprehensive array of flexible packaging solutions in either roll- or preformed bag formats. FMC also exports its packaging solutions to Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and other countries in the region.
