Bangwei

Bangwei (Leon) Ma is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Flexport since February 2023, Bangwei previously held multiple leadership roles at Amazon from September 2014 to February 2023, including Senior Manager of Software Development. Prior to Amazon, Bangwei worked at Newegg.com from December 2006 to August 2014, where key contributions included developing an in-house Dynamic Recommendation System and integrating third-party vendor solutions. Bangwei began a career in software development as a Software Engineer, focusing on building a JavaScript framework and assisting in project management tasks. Bangwei holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Shanghai University (2003-2007).
