Matt Loftus is a Senior Software Engineer at Flexport since February 2023. Previously, Loftus worked at Twitter from May 2016 to June 2021, serving as Tech Lead for the Ad Quality Engineering team, where responsibilities included developing automated systems and content moderation tools, as well as spearheading the modernization of Twitter's internal content moderation tool, which notably reduced page load times by 75%. Loftus also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at William & Mary from September 2011 to May 2013, focusing on optical couplings for radiation detectors, and at Fermilab in June 2012, working on prototype scintillation detectors for the NOvA neutrino experiment.
