Advancing digitization is presenting many companies with new challenges in the development process. In cable and hose development in particular, it can be difficult to meet the requirements of modern technologies while remaining competitive.

The risk of possible production errors here can also be enormously high and cost-intensive without suitable simulation software, since experience values and theoretical models must be relied upon.

fleXstructures IPS cable simulation enables highly accurate predictions and quality assessments of flexible hoses and cables with motion.

IPS provides capabilities throughout the development process, from concept and design, through assembly and production planning, to after-sales. With a combination of physically correct solutions and real-time simulation, IPS Cable Simulation clearly stands out from other products in this field.

Customers from the automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace, motorcycle and construction machinery industries are already successfully using our simulation software.

They use IPS for geometric validation, DMU, functional properties and assembly and production specific validation tasks. IPS Cable Simulation is the standard tool for 3D mechanical design and validation of all flexible components.

The advantages for designers, engineers, managers and processes at a glance:

👉Reliable quality for the concept & design of virtual cables & hoses.
👉 Reduction of hardware costs for validation through virtual release
👉 Real-time physics-based 3D solution for cables, hoses, and wire harnesses
👉 Wide range of analysis options (forces, moments, stresses, distances, etc)
👉 Easy use of the software, no specialists required
👉Reduction of iterations through direct error detection
👉 Digitally validated cable concept 3 years before SOP
