Robert Nachenius is a seasoned chemical engineer with extensive experience in the chemical and biochemical industries. Currently serving as a Chemical Engineer at Flexsys since November 2021, Robert has previously worked as a Chemical Technology Engineer at Eastman Chemical Company from June 2015 to October 2021, and as a Doctoral Researcher at Universiteit Gent, focusing on thermochemical conversion of biomass from March 2011 to May 2015. Prior to that, Robert held various positions at Sasol, including Senior Process Engineer, Process Engineer, and Junior Process Engineer, specializing in the optimization of the Sasol Synfuels refinery and chemical value chains. Robert's career began as a Research Assistant at TNO Science and Industry. Robert holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University and additional degrees in Quantitative Management & Economics, Chemical Engineering, and Process Technology from various institutions.
