Douglas Schmohl has over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry. Douglas began their career in 1978 as a CWO Helicopter Pilot in the US Army. In 1983, they joined DHL and Astar as a Captain. Douglas then founded SoundFront Internet Media. Inc. in 1997, providing streaming media services for the broadcast industry. In 1999, they founded ClickLive, an internet-based video solutions provider for corporate communications and training platforms. In 2012, they founded FlightPartner, a global private jet charter B2B air charter commerce system. In 2015, they joined Alerion Aviation as a Captain.

Douglas Schmohl attended the University of Maryland from 1979 to 1980, where they studied General Studies. Douglas then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1980 to 1982, where they studied Professional Aeronautics.
