Hina Virani

Hina Virani has extensive experience in the field of software engineering and solutions architecture. Hina is currently working at Flinks as the Director of Solutions Architecture, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at Flinks from April 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Flinks, Hina held the role of Solutions Architect at BMO Financial Group from November 2019 to April 2021. Hina also worked at Wirecard, where they held the positions of Team Lead - Implementation from November 2016 to October 2019 and Consultant from August 2015 to October 2016.

Earlier in their career, Hina worked at OMA Emirates- Solution Gulf, LLC as Senior Manager - Software Engineering from May 2015 to July 2015, Manager - Software Engineering from November 2013 to April 2015, and Assistant Manager - Technical from October 2011 to October 2013.

Hina has also held roles at Avanza Solutions, including Software Development Manager from April 2011 to September 2011, Technical Lead from April 2009 to April 2011, and Senior Software Engineer from April 2007 to March 2009. At Avanza Solutions, they were involved in integrating various channels and systems with banking hosts and HSMs, working with EMV and magstripe cards.

Hina started their career at LMK Resources, where they worked as a Development Consultant from February 2006 to March 2007. During their time at LMK Resources, they developed modules for an ERP solution, worked on an Audit Management System for a bank, and developed workflows using Jython and VBScript for Tivoli Provisioning Manager.

Their earliest work experience was as a Software Engineer at Mobile Complete from June 2005 to February 2006.

Hina Virani obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Hina then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing their studies from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Hina Virani has also obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021 and as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in September 2019.
